In cases where the paper to be removed was incorrectly hung without the correct wall preparation or was installed using an adhesive not designed for wallpaper, it may be impossible to remove the paper without some damage to the drywall finish. Roger can repair minor wall damage with a skim coat of drywall finishing compound and sand it smooth, leaving it ready for painting or wallpapering.
