ABC's Extreme Makeover

ABC‘s Extreme Makeover "Home Edition" came to Beavercreek in 2009 to help the Terpenning family. Their whole house was completely rebuilt by local contractors and volunteers who donated their time and expertise over the course of a week.  The work schedule was an intense 24 hour non stop construction marathon.

All the wallpapering was installed by Roger Dabe and his crew working through the night in a non stop 18 hour marathon to finish on schedule for the decorator.

James Terpenning is a wheelchair-bound, athlete and mentor to disabled Iraq war veterans. Crippled by polio during infancy and abandoned by his American G.I. father in Vietnam, James lives with his wife Shannon, their children and his brother Joe (who has cerebral palsy and is also in a wheelchair).
